The present a sixty-four years old female was diagnosed diffuse large B cell lymphoma, Ann Arbor stage IV at May 13 in 2015. And then she received first chemotherapy at May 19~20. However, after discharged two days, she suffered fever and readmitted to hospital and a series of examinations, ruled out infection and tumor fever was confirmed. Therefore, the target treatment and the second chemotherapy were executed. Unfortunately the patient was complicated respiratory failure and was intubated, and transferred to RICU for further care. In the RICU,multiple antibiotics and antifungal drugs were administrated due to postchemotherapy sepsis. But the patient was occurred severe diarrhea caused by antibiotics. Metronidazole and antidiarrheal drugs were treated but in vain. So Traditional Medicine department was consulted and the pattern of diarrhea identification was the spleen and kidney yang vacuity. Fu-Zi-Li-Zhong Tan was the initial treated formula to warm yang and dispel cold as well as boost qi and fortify the spleen, and then accompanied diuresis and percolate dampness herbs. After TCM treatment, the symptoms of diarrhea were remission and the patient was transferred to ordinary ward.
