「教學與學習國際調查」由由經濟合作暨發展組織所辦理的一項國際 評比。本研究就2013年「教學與學習國際調查」中,關於英格蘭教師自我 效能和工作滿意度的部分做呈現,所依據的是經濟合作暨發展組織所出版 的《TALIS 2013結果:一個教與學的國際觀點》的總報告和由倫敦大學 「教育研究院」所編輯而成的《英格蘭的中等學校教師:從TALIS 2013而 來的證據之研究報告書》;教師自我效能和工作滿意度有高度的相關,同 時,與TALIS所提的其他四個面向都有相關。調查結果顯示,英格蘭的教 師在自我效能與工作滿意度上都高於參與國的平均數。英國政府和民間也 針對「教學與學習國際調查」做出回應,但他們是以教師的工作負擔為核 心做相對應的調查和研究,然後再與「教學與學習國際調查」做比較。最 後,在經濟合作暨發展組織的報告書中提出了五個促進教師自我效能和工 作滿意度的措施。整體而言,「教學與學習國際調查」很值得我們對這些 議題做進一步的研究。

英文摘要

TALIS is the “Teaching and Learning International Survey” administered by Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The article is to present the results on self-efficacy and job satisfaction of England teachers in secondary schools. Two sources are used: one is TALIS 2013 Results: An International Perspective On Teaching and Learning published by OECD and Teachers in England’s Secondary Schools: Evidence from TALIS 2013: Research Report which edited by University of London. Teacher’s selfefficacy and job satisfaction are highly correlated and also related with the other four dimensions used in TALIS. The results show that England teachers have higher marks in self-efficacy and job satisfaction than the average of participant countries. British government and non-government research institute also have similar survey but they use workload as the main variable. There are comparisons among these researches. In the OECD report, five measures are suggested to promote teacher’s self-efficacy and job satisfaction. All in all, the dimensions in TALIS are worthwhile for further study.
