如何改善科學家與媒體記者溝通不良問題,提高科學傳播效果,始終是學者關心焦點。近年來有學者建議與其解決科學家與媒體的衝突問題,不如訓練科學家自我傳播,讓科學家成為公共傳播者,直接對公眾說明科學研究與傳播科學知識。本研究以近一年時間參與觀察國內科學部門內的科學家化身公共傳播者,藉由操作臉書實踐科學教育生活化的歷程。研究發現,當代科學家對使用社群媒體並不陌生,也願意成為公共傳播者,這是基於越漸增強的社會責任感,以及希望藉由公共傳播減少媒體記者對科學研究斷章取義的謬誤影響。與此同時,科學家也期許能提供民眾正確完整的科學資訊,平衡社會輿論,更重要的是增加民眾對科學知識的親近感,理解科學研究的實用價值,普及科學教育。

英文摘要

How to improve the problem of poor communication between scientists and journalists and improve the effect of science communication are the focuses of scholars. In recent years, some scholars have proposed to improve the ability of scientists to self-communication, let scientists become public communicators, personally explain scientific research to the public and practice the life of science education. This study examines the transformation of scientists in government departments and the use of Facebook as a public communicator. After nearly a year of observation and interviews, this study found that scientists are willing to become public communicators. They have increasingly strong sense of social responsibility, especially the emergence of social media, making it easier for scientists to spread themselves. On the other hand, scientists also hope to reduce press coverage of scientific research out of context, on the other hand by scientists to provide the correct and complete research information, balance public opinion, for the popularization of science education is also helpful.
