親近自然與植物是人類原始的天性，人類依其想像力在植物身上塑造了各種形象與符號，植物隨著人類文明的發展逐漸成為許多藝術創作與設計的題材，尤其在多媒體盛行與媒材多樣化的現代。創作者可以各種方式融合植物元素呈現多樣作品風格以展現其理念，植物符號的應用設計也隨著時代文化交疊更加多樣化。本研究目的為探討植物元素於數位領域中的創作應用，研究方法使用文獻分析與案例研究法，彙整植物的符號意義應用於現代數位創作中的手法，了解現今不同產業市場之藝術設計、電玩、動漫…等作品應用。研究結果發現：當代植物元素的創作多以變形或混種形式呈現。創作者首先參考自然界中動植物的生長方式再融入不同藝術創作的呈現形式，研究結果歸納出植物元素的呈現方式可分為「融合」、「嵌合」與「寄生」三種類型。融合即兩種生物的混合體；嵌合是以鑲嵌與嫁接形式的將兩個物種接合，整體上可看出明顯銜接處；寄生則有如生物於自然界中的片利共生與互利共生…等。本研究的結果可成為未來以植物為核心概念的相關研究創作思想脈絡之基石，也希冀未來研究可以持續豐富相關案例分析的樣本，更有效地延伸此相關主題的深度和跨領域的應用。

Humans approach nature and plants by instincts. With their imagination, people have created various features and signs regarding plants. Along with the development of civilization, plants have become popular theme in the realm of design and art, especially in contemporary era, in which all kinds of multimedia works are in vogue. Creators often express their concepts by integrating works with plant elements. The application of Plant symbols becomes diverse thanks to the progress of artistry. The same is the design of works, which are various in appearances and no longer restricted within realism. This study aimed to explore the application of plant elements in digital field. Using citations and cases analysis, the author summed up the symbolic meaning of the plants in current digital creations. According to the analyzed creations, such as digital arts, video games, animations and comics, it was found that most works with plants elements were presented in hybrid styles. It was concluded in this research that the presentation of plant elements could be divided into three types: “Mix”, “Inset”, and “Parasitize” which are referred to animals and plants in nature. “Mix” means to combine two or more kinds of creatures. “Inset” is linking something with others, by means of mosaicking or grafting, for example. “Parasitic” is just like Commensalism and Mutualism in nature ecosystems. With the research and analysis, it is expected that this topic and relevant creations would be extended and more samples could be increased, which might be more effectively applied to subsequent designs and creations.
