Flipped classrooms alter the traditional teaching model, leading teachers to become facilitators as opposed to lectures. In traditional classrooms, teachers not only need to instruct students but also take care of different learners with different learning tempos. In flipped classrooms, art teachers can organize various engaging activities to assist students in learnings. While teachers become facilitators in class, students also become active learners. Most importantly, teachers can spend more time taking take care of different learners, providing the individuals with specific guidance. The students are from different cultures and ethnicities. This study explores how middle school students engage themselves in a flipped class.
