本論文針對結合開口式沉箱與點吸收式波能轉換器的系統,進行發電量的參數匹配研究,系統的參數有沉箱開口的角度、動力外送器的阻尼與浮筒的質量,環境的參數主要是波浪的頻率(或週期)。在應用上,開口式沉箱與點吸收式波能轉換器所整合的系統有諸多優點:沉箱經適當的設計可透過港池共振的效應,放大波能;沉箱具有保護波浪能轉換系統的功能;點吸收式系統在沉箱內運動相對單純,只有起伏運動,而非六向自由度的不規則運動;PTO系統可以建置在水上面,不需要防水處理。我們使用WAMIT軟體計算系統的流體動力係數,再使用WEC-Sim 來模擬波浪能的截取;通過一系列的參數變化與計算,我們可以找到最好的參數匹配,未來將進一步用於系統設計的條件。

英文摘要

In this paper, we conducted a parametric study on the power generation of a system which combines an open caisson and a wave energy converter (WEC). Of particular interest is the point-absorber type of WEC. The parameters include the opening angle of the caisson, the damping of power take-off (PTO), the mass of the buoy, and the period of the incident wave. In practical appli-cations, there are many advantages for the combined system. In this study, we studied the wave amplification effect inside the caisson which significantly enhances the wave energy density and, hence, the power generation. Additionally, the motion of the WEC inside the caisson can be greatly simplified (to only heave motion, for example) through proper system design. The caisson also provides proper protection from WEC system damage due to extreme waves. We integrated WAMIT and WEC-Sim for the study. The results show that proper matching of the parameters can significantly increase the power generation.
