現今社會變遷之際，反思「當代自由民主」至關重要。本文使用新「知識系譜學」方法，試圖以Social Science Citation Index（SSCI）相關領域中研究民主（democracy）之有關論文8,616篇。本文以數位工具，統計重要文獻與學者，並擷取出相關之重要觀念，並製作概念之分支與延伸。本文依照「關鍵詞組」（keyword-pair）的理念，主要回答西方世界中「什麼觀念」與民主更為接近？什麼詞語構成民主的觀念體系？以及歷年重要性的變化趨勢。本文發現，民主相關理念中「民主—政策—政治—制度」的關鍵詞組合出現最多也最常被其他文獻引用。本文貢獻有二：其一，體現數位工具之能力，能集中閱讀大量文獻，提供研究幫助；其二，能使讀者瞭解到當代民主之研究趨勢與變遷系譜。

It is important to rethink “contemporary liberty and democracy” today. The article uses the method of “New Genealogy of Knowledge”, focusing on 8,616 “Democracy-linked” essays in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) fields. Based on these corpus, we calculate the important articles and scholars, then we can capture their keyword-pair, sparing them to knowledge line and net by digital tools. The article answers what ideas are near “democracy” in western research. And what the concepts can make the system of democracy ideas? Then we could know change of importance by year. We have found, the most-countable and most-cited component is “DEMOCRACY-POLICY-POLITICS-INSTITUTE”. One of the contributions of this article is we provide a possible process to “read” volume documents by digital tools, and another one is to show the “democracy-linked” research knowledge genealogy in contemporary.
