關懷弱勢族群的受教問題一直是重要的教育議題,高等教育肩負扶助弱勢學生的重要任務,尤其是在大學普及化的趨勢下,高等教育必須顧及如何維護更多弱勢學生的就學權益。而有優良學習表現但經濟居於弱勢的學生,常是勉人勤學向上的典範,本研究將之稱為抗逆學生,即指具有「復原力」的學生。本研究在校務研究的脈絡下,以弱勢學生為研究對象,運用資料採礦分析個案學校的校務資料,期能協助弱勢學生的學習。本研究主要發現個案學校的弱勢學生入學名額呈現略為下降趨勢,弱勢學生在學表現優於一般學生,畢業後弱勢學生擔任全職工作者比例較高,且若能挹注較高的學校經費將有利於培養弱勢學生的復原力。依據研究結果,本研究就弱勢學生的招生、教導以及復原力等三個課題分別提出研究建議。

英文摘要

Educating disadvantaged students has been an important issue of higher education. Under the universal trend of higher education, university must take into account how to protect the rights and interests of disadvantaged students. Economically disadvantaged students who perform successfully are called “resilient students.” They are good example to encourage students to study hard and learning success. This study collected the data according to institution research, and used data mining methods to improve resilient students’ learning. The results revealed that: 1. the enrolment number of disadvantaged students was declined in the case university; 2. disadvantaged students’ performance was better than other students’; 3. disadvantaged students had more opportunity to take full-time employment than other students; 4. the case university need invest more economic resources to educate the disadvantaged students’ resilience. According to the results, this study provided the strategies of enrolment, teaching, and resilience for the case university.
