台灣醫療運作的效率與效能備受國際肯定，但健保在總額限制下所形成的困境，已壓縮醫院的生存空間。相對中國大陸隨著經濟成長與人口老化，帶來民衆對醫療需求與品質要求的市場，似乎提供另一種發展的可能。中國大陸醫療市場對社會資本開放，雖存在機會，但也存在風險。本個案立基在醫療特性及台灣罾療產業發展的經驗，透過釐清醫管跨境政策的支持與限制，以及中國大陸醫管產業的市場槪況，對台灣罾院西進發展策略的模式與作法加以分析。希望藉由市場上不同類型組織的發展模式，提供學生學習透過產業分析，考慮組織在内、外資源及環境的限制下進行利基與困難的比較，進一步激發價値創造的策略思維。
