當人口老化成為常態,探索有助於預測個人存活與身心健康的重要因素──「老化態度」(attitude toward aging),已成為現今老年學的趨勢。本研究目的旨在探討中國、澳門、新加坡、臺灣四地高齡學習者在老化認知、老化感受、特定的老年觀、老化適應等四個向度的異同情形及其理由,企圖獲取一個初步的理解。研究採用質性研究(qualitative research)的深度訪談(in-depth interviewing),並輔以比較研究法(comparative research methods),對四地學習機構各七位(60~83歲)總計28位高齡者(平均年齡70歲)進行訪查,蒐集受試者對老化態度的意義詮釋,瞭解個體對老化事實的認知、感受、觀點與適應等描述資料。研究結果顯示:一、四地高齡學習者老化態度普遍趨於正向,且彼此在老化態度內涵四個向度呈現較多類近的共同事實;二、政策意涵:針對人口老化趨勢,優化老年人口整體質量;依據整體環境因素,研訂合宜高齡教育政策。最後並提出三項建議。

英文摘要

When the ageing of the population has become the norm, it is a trend in the current age of gerontology to explore the “attitude toward aging”, an important factor that can help predict the survival and physical and mental health of individuals. The aim of this study was to explore and obtain a preliminary understanding of the differences in the same situation and the reasoning behind the four dimensions of ageing: perception, feelings, specific views and adjustment to ageing in senior learners. Method: The qualitative research used was in-depth interviewing supplemented by comparative research methods with 7 senior learners between 60 and 83 years of age (average 70) from learning institutions in each of the four countries. The interpretation and attitude towards ageing of each of the 28 subjects interviewed were collected to gain an understanding through descriptive information such as individual perception, feelings, views and adjustments towards ageing. In this study, we obtain 2 Conclusions and there are 3 suggestions.
