In the interaction of contemporary Chinese literature and history, the antiutopia style of expression is frequently neglected in literature. The anti-utopia style of expression is the reflection of Mao Zedong’s Utopia Movement from the Chinese authors. Jinkang Wang is one of the Big Three in Chinese Science Fiction. His fiction, Life of Ant, is his most prominent work of anti-utopia style of expression. This article aims at examining the anti-utopia style of expression in Life of Ant. It contains four parts: The first part discusses the correlation between the utopianism in Life of Ant and communism. The second part analyzes the critics of utopia presupposition in Life of Ant. The third part examines how the author disavows the Cultural Revolution and utopianism. The fourth part demonstrates how the fiction carries the vigilance about the shadow of utopia under post-Mao era. The antiutopia style of expression is the reflection of Wang towards Mao Zedong’s Utopia Movement. It implies that the reality of utopianism is cruel and impractical.
