On November 10, 2014, a White-Bellied Sea-Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) was seen at Lakeshore park, Dapu, Chiayi County by my colleague and me while we were conducting Russet Sparrow (Passer rutilans) survey. Although it was near the dusk, I took photographs as soon as possible. According to the photos , It could be identified by its huge size, white head and belly, black flight feathers and relative small tail. Three months later, on February 10, 2015, I saw it again at Pudin, a village on the opposite side of reservoir. Due to sunny weather, the White- Bellied Sea-Eagle could be seen clearly and confirmed immediately, and we also heard its“ loud goose-like honking call”.
