中文摘要

同位素診療是利用放射性核種在癌症的精準影像診斷與治療,最典型的例子是放射性碘用在影像診斷及治療甲狀腺疾病已經超過50年了,最近更有同位素診療運用鎵-68/鎦-177在神經內分泌腫瘤及攝護腺癌的診療,不久也將會有更多其他新的同位素藥物在臨床被使用,因此,這些同位素治療的病房設備須重新設計以符合病人安全及輻防法規的需求,臺灣大學醫學院附設癌醫中心醫院已經規畫並設置三間同位素治療病房,提供病人在住院期間安全且舒適自在的環境空間。

英文摘要

Radiotheranostics use radionuclides for the precision imaging diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Radioiodine is a classic example that has been used for more than 50 years in the imaging and treatment of thyroid diseases. With recent rapid advances in Ga-68/Lu-177 radiotheranostics for neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer, and other new agents and new indications in the foreseen future, there is a surging need to redesign the radioisotope treatment facility meeting the regulatory standards. At National Taiwan University Cancer Center, we had designed and build a radioisotope treatment ward that satisfies the regulatory and safety requirements. Also, the ward environment makes patients feel comfortable during the treatment.
