Tropical rainforests on earth are vanishing rapidly because of human destruction. It is a major challenge that desperately needs be addressed for preservation of the rainforest ecosystem and the survival of species. Inspired by his numerous travels and explorations in primeval forests, Max-Liu created his art out of his respect and care for life. He appealed to all human beings to treasure the environment and land through his vibrant, childlike images and colors. If small children could be provided with visual arts experience during everyday scenario in a kindergarten classroom, their learning and sense of aesthetics might be further enhanced and cultivated. The study applied Max-Liu’s creative concepts and paintings to design and develop a set of hands-on games - Rainforest Secret Hideout - that could be viewed, touched and freely arranged. The games are visual aids built in with the ideas for environmental protection and animal conservation. They also offered insightful learning through responsive and creative aesthetic experiences. The research focused on descriptive narration of the ideal and creative process of applying Max-Liu’s creative concept on devising art teaching aids for children. How these visual aids had impacted the learning of children was also evaluated in the study. The research concluded that viewers had given a positive review to this conceptually united, and organized art teaching aids set for children in terms of novelty and exclusivity, operability, topics and contents, forms and aesthetics, as well as storability and portability; Through immersive experiences of operating the aids, free imagination, and role-play, the children learned to recognize the features of rainforests, the causes behind deforestation, and the ways to protect and preserve animals and plants. The children came to focus on and admire the beauty of the teaching aids. Meanwhile, their problem-solving ability was enhanced. Their affection for family was strengthened as they became more willing to communicate and share.
