相較於發展已超過百年之久的英語學習研究,華語學習相關理論正處於萌芽階段,借鏡英語教學的經驗與理論,確實可以縮短盲目摸索的時間,但華語與英語兩者間的差異點卻也是學者們在研究當中時常提出的疑問。王財貴教授提出外文讀經理論,講求利用熟背經典來學習外語。究竟「外文讀經」是否能夠幫助學習是否能幫助外籍人士習得華語?本文利用西方學者蓋聶的學習理論,抽絲剝繭探討王教授「外文讀經」法的學理根據,佐以利用此法成功習得英語之個案例子證實:外文讀經確實在訓練學習者口語發音以及幫助學習者記憶上有所助益,並針對不同程度之華語課程提出融合外文讀經法的啟示與建議。

英文摘要

Professor Wang Caigui proposed Second-Language Classical reading theory, emphasis on the use of classical memorize to learn foreign languages. What "Second-Language Classical reading" is able to help people learn the second language, in particular in learning Chinese? In this paper, we are going to use the Western scholars Gagne's learning theory to discuss Professor Wang’s Second-Language Classical reading theory, and offer a succeeded example-learning English by reading English classical books-to prove that reading Chinese classical indeed help learnings to improve their Chinese ability. Furthermore, to design Chinese courses which assimilate into Chinese Classical reading.
