由於疫情的影響，眾多的中國大陸光通訊廠商缺席了今年的OFC盛會，讓今年OFC失色不少。不過OFC仍依舊舉辦，並以《2030年展望：將光通訊帶入下一個十年》為主題，邀請富有遠見的演講者介紹過去的成功經驗，以及即將到來的創新。會議概述了光電整合、矽奈米光子、海底電纜的發展，以及5G光通訊等領域未來的展望。

Due to the impact of the epidemic, many optical fiber communication manufacturers in Mainland China were absent from this year's OFC event. However, OFC still went on with the theme of "2030 Prospects: Bringing Optical Communications to the Next Decade", which invited visionary speakers to introduce successful experiences and upcoming innovations. The conference outlined the development of photonics integration, silicon nanophotonics, submarine cables, and the future prospects of 5G optical fiber communications.
