本文以「翻譯」作為理解鄭清文文學的方法,就鄭清文翻譯文學的閱讀、世界文學的翻譯實踐、兒童文學的翻譯改寫等方面進行梳理,藉以說明鄭清文閱讀翻譯文學與創作之間的關係,及其翻譯實踐的成就。他藉由中、日、英的譯本廣泛地閱讀翻譯世界文學,積累自己的創作能量與文學教養。在臺灣文學界契訶夫文學或是俄國文學的受容過程中,鄭清文的譯介活動有其承先啟後的時代意義與貢獻,他的創作理念形成與翻譯實踐互為表裡,在封閉的年代中,「翻譯」也成為他的文學與世界文學鏈結重要的路徑。他譯作生產除了滿足一般讀者閱讀世界文學的需求之外,也透過世界兒童文學的改譯,滿足臺灣小讀者們的文學想像。他在博覽文學譯本和翻譯實踐後,努力希望在臺灣這塊土地上創造極具個人風格特色的文學作品,開拓臺灣文學的視野。

英文摘要

This paper uses "translation" as a way to understand Zheng Qing-wen's(鄭清文) literature. The author sorts out the reading of Zheng Qing-wen's translation literature, the translation practice of world literature, and the translation and rewriting of children literature. That trying to explain the relationship between Zheng Qing-wen's reading of translation literature and his creation, and his achievements in translation practice. That is, through extensive reading of Chinese, Japanese and English translations, he translated world literature and accumulated his own creative energy and literary education. Zheng Qing-wen's translation and introduction activities have his own significance and contribution to the times, in the process of accepting Chekhov(契訶夫) literature or Russian literature, in the literary world of Taiwan. His creative conception and translation practice are mutually exclusive; "translation" became his important path linking literature and world literature, in the era of closure at that time. In addition to satisfying the needs of ordinary readers for reading world literature, his translation works also adapts to the literary imagination of Taiwan's young readers by rewriting and translating children literature classic. After his widely read literary translation and translation practice, he strives to create literary works with unique personal styles and to broaden our horizons in Taiwanese literature.
