健康照護人員認為心衰竭患者需要低鈉飲食。然而,目前並沒有適當做為估算患者每日膳食鈉攝取量的方法。有些研究認為每日膳食鈉攝取量和尿鈉排泄存有相關性。通常,膳食鈉攝取後約18-31小時,約有85-95%由尿排出。本文藉由文獻查證介紹由尿鈉排泄,估算每日膳食鈉攝取量的方法,供健康照護者估算心衰竭患者每日膳食鈉攝取量的參考。

英文摘要

Healthcare providers believe that patients with heart failure need low levels of dietary sodium; however, it is challenging to estimate the daily sodium intake and thus challenging to follow a low sodium diet that can be evaluated by healthcare providers. Some studies have shown a correlation between the estimated sodium from dietary intake and urinary excretion. Typically, 18-31 hours after sodium intake, approximately 85-95% of the sodium is excreted through the urine. This article reviewed the method of estimating dietary sodium intake from urinary sodium excretion. This information could help healthcare providers estimate level of dietary sodium on patients with heart failure.
