駕駛分心常是造成交通事故的主因,造成分心的因子眾多且複雜,如道路的環境、車內的乘客,尤其現今電子產品充斥著生活。根據國內研究指出,提供資訊的車內設備(例:衛星導航、手機)更容易造成駕駛者的負擔,使其產生分心行為,故在此研究中我們在駕駛人面前放置一攝像頭,以最簡潔的介面,不造成駕駛負擔為主做設計,利用Viola-Jones臉部偵測演算法分析頭部轉向以及凝視旁側,即時判斷駕駛狀態,進而對駕駛的疲勞狀態提出警告。系統若偵測到臉部時,會記錄下座標並放入暫存器,接著使用眼部偵測演算法判斷眼部是否有視線偏移;若無偵測到臉部,則分析暫存器資料以判斷頭部轉動方向,頭部轉動或視線偏移若超過預設時間則判定為駕駛分心,並發出警報。實驗結果顯示,本系統能有效的判斷駕駛分心的即時事件,期許能藉此系統在駕駛人員分心時即時對駕駛發出警報避免遺憾發生。

Distracted driving is often the main cause of traffic accidents, and there are many complex factors that cause distraction, such as the environment of the road, the passengers in the car, especially our life are full of the electronic products. According to domestic research, the in-car devices (such as satellite navigation and mobile phones) that provide information are more likely to cause driver's load and distract them. Therefore, in this study we place a camera in front of the driver, with a simple interface which does not cause the driving burden, to build a system. It analyzes the head turning and staring at the side, judges the driving status immediately, and then gives a warning if necessary. When a face is detected by the Viola and Jones detecting algorithm, it will record the coordinates and put them into the register, then use the eye detection algorithm to judge whether there is eye line deviation. If no face is detected, analyze the register data to determine the rotation direction of the head. If the head rotation or line of sight deviation exceeds a preset time, it will be judged as driving distraction and an alarm will be given. Experimental results show that the system can effectively judge the real-time events of driving distraction, which can be used to alert the driver immediately to avoid regret when the driver is distracted.
