本文探究劉延濤的藝術風格，以及于右任書法的太極意象。首先，說明劉延濤與于右任的友誼和中國美術史的地位。其次，從詩書畫合一的文人筆墨、傳統筆墨的拓展、寧拙勿巧凸顯個性、懷鄉山水的抒發、台灣在地元素的融入，論證劉延濤的藝術風格和特色。接著，考探于右任學書歷程，以及探究于右任書法的太極意象。最後，提出四點：傳統筆墨的拓展、整理制定標準草書、教育推廣普及社會、人品與作品成為典範，說明劉延濤與于右任的貢獻及對後世的啟發。

This paper explores Liu Yan-tao’s art style and Yu You-ren’s Tai-chi image in his calligraphy. In the beginning, this paper introduces the two artists’ friendship and their positions in the history of Chinese art. Then, this paper argues Liu Yan-tao’s idiosyncrasy from the following aspects: the trinity of poem, calligraphy and painting in his artwork, his further development of the traditional ink and wash painting, his idiosyncratic choice of the natural in preference of the artificial, the nostalgia conveyed in his landscape painting, and his inclusion of the Taiwanese element into his works. Next, this paper reviews Yu You-ren’s learning history in the field of calligraphy, and explores the Tai-chi image in his calligraphy. Finally, this paper proposes to appreciate the two artists’ contributions and the legacies they leave for the future generations from the following four aspects: their further development of traditional ink and wash painting, their stipulation of standard cursive scripts, their promulgation of ink and wash painting and calligraphic art in society through education, and their unification of admiring personality and art style.
