本研究主要是為了取代市售的碳鋅電池,研製出輕巧、無汙染、低成本的非水基性金屬燃料電池,加入不同克數的聚丙烯酸鈉 (PAAS)分散於電解液中形成可流動的固液混合物,陽極金屬採用鎂合金(AZ31),鎂合金化學性質極為活潑,所以再添加過氧化氫(H₂O₂)和過氧碳酸鈉(Na₂CO₄)進行含氧量放電測試與腐蝕效能的比較,檢測不同含氧量對電池的電性表現,結果顯示過氧化氫(H₂O₂)大於1.0wt%時電性較差,但小於0.5wt%時電性較佳;過氧碳酸鈉(Na₂CO₄) 小於0.5wt%時電性較差,但大於1.0wt%時電性較佳,兩者電性測試比較,發現過氧碳酸鈉(Na₂CO₄)有較優的電性,添加以不同克數的聚丙烯酸鈉 (PAAS)作為可流動的固液混和物,發現在3克中有較好的固態電解液與電性。

英文摘要

The purpose of this study is to develop a compact, green and low cost metallic fuel cell battery containing non-aqueous electrolyte to substitute the widely used carbon-zinc battery. Different concentrations of sodium polyarcrylate (PAAS) were dispersed in the electrolyte to form a gel-like mixture. Magnesium alloy (AZ31) was employed as the anode. Because of its active nature in chemical property, Mg anode was tested in the prepared electrolyte with the addition of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) and sodium percarbonate (Na₂CO₄) to study the discharge and corrosion performance. The content of oxygen in the electrolyte influenced the performance of the battery. The result showed a better performance when the H₂O₂ content was less than 0.5 wt% or the Na₂CO₄ content was greater than 1.0 wt%. Comparing the performance from these two oxygen providers, Na₂CO₄ had better discharge performance than its H₂O₂ counterpart. Furthermore, it was found that the gel-like electrolyte containing PAAS demonstrated better gel property and discharge performance at a concentration of 3g/l.
