黃得時先生（1909-1999）畢業於臺北帝國大學（國立臺灣大學前身）文學院東洋文學講座，為臺大中文系日據時期三位臺籍畢業菁英之一。先生留任中文系擔任教授以迄退休，獲贈榮譽教授銜。研究範疇凡臺灣文學研究、民俗研究以及臺灣地方文史之保存與撰述。先生曾受臺灣省新聞處委託，撰寫《臺灣的孔廟》。此一宣傳小書，雖非學術著述。但對於臺灣乃至於大陸之孔子廟研究，皆有啟迪之功。學界對於先生在臺灣文學研究之貢獻，已有深入且全面的論述；但於先生對孔子廟研究既能闡述文史，復加啟發後學一項，則猶待今人感念彰顯。本文即由清代以來至民國中華文化復興運動之間的孔子廟研究之發展脈絡，分析《臺灣的孔廟》及先生孔子廟相關論著之見解與影響。

Professor Huang De-shi graduated from Taihoku Imperial University (the former name of National Taiwan University), and was one of the three Taiwanese students in the Oriental Literature Lecture during the Japanese occupation. Professor Huang had excellent research achievements in Taiwan literature, Taiwan folklore and Taiwan history. He was commissioned by the Department of Information Services, Taiwan Provincial Government to write The Confucius temples of Taiwan in 1981. Although this book is not an academic work, it is very inspiring for the study of Confucian temples in Taiwan and the mainland China. This article describes the development of Confucian temple research from the Qing dynasty to 1980, analyzes The Confucius temples of Taiwan and studies Professor Huang’s views and influence on Confucius temples.
