校長領導乃是學校發展、教師教學及學生學習成功與否的重要關鍵因素。本研究旨在探討校長優勢本位領導的相關概念、研究與啟示,首先,闡述校長優勢本位領導相關概念;其次,分析校長優勢本位領導相關實徵研究;最後,則據以提出未來有關校長優勢本位領導實務推展與研究的建議,分別為:一、善用校長專業發展機會,提升優勢本位領導素養;二、發展教育人員優勢行為檢核表,提升優勢覺察力;三、應用權變優勢本位領導,有效提升校長領導效能;四、採適當的研究方法,理解優勢領導之實施效益;五、驗證比較國外研究結果,提供校長學本土化發展。

英文摘要

Principal leadership is the key to the success of school development, teacher instruction, and student learning. The purpose of this article is to analyze the concept and research of principal strength-based leadership and its implication. First, the authors elaborate the related concept of principal strength-based leadership and then review the related empirical research of principal strength-based leadership. Next, the authors provide some implications for implementation and future research of principal strength-based leadership in Taiwan: (1) implementing principal professional development to enhance the competencies of principal strength-based leadership, (2) developing a checklist to promote principal awareness of strength-based behavior, (3) applying contingency approach to effectively elevate the performance of principal strength-based leadership, (4) utilizing proper research method to understand the effects of strength-based leadership, (5) verifying and comparing the results of international research to provide insights on local principalship development.
