台灣2020上半年(H1)整體光電產業營達6,276億台幣，雖較2019年H1衰退了8.2%，但其中生醫光電、雷射應用以及精密光學產業仍舊維持成長。顯示台灣光電產業未來也將由這幾個領域率先驅動，帶動整體產業向上走揚。

Taiwan's photonics industry in the first half of 2020 (H1) reached 627.6 billion Taiwan dollars, which showed a decline of 8.2% compared to 2019 H1, but the biomedical optoelectronics, laser applications and precision optics industries continued to grow. It shows that Taiwan´s photonics industry will also be driven by these areas in the future, driving the overall industry upward.
