The world produces more than 80 billion pieces of clothing every year, which is eleven times the total population of the world. The pollution caused is second only to the petrochemical industry, causing waste and harming the environment. Overviewing the domestic discarded clothing, 78% is received in the old clothes recycling bin, and only 3% is used in second-hand trading or exchange. When it comes to the treatment of secondhand clothes, most people will throw the cleaned old clothes into the green recycling bin. The old clothes will be reclassified and sent to social welfare units or shipped to developing countries for sale by recycling factory. In the past, China was the largest receiving station for used clothes. As the Chinese economy took off and the consumption level improved, it has changed from the demand side of used clothes to the supply side. The advantages of Taiwanese manufacturers have gradually been replaced by China, Japan, Europe and other regions. The amount of garbage has increased by several tons. How to solve the problems faced more effectively and make the planet more sustainable is the urgent solution needed at this stage. In this study, through literature discussion and integrated analysis mode, the reusable second-hand clothing materials are systematically classified, and then the design and development of life appropriate fabric products based on the material attributes, so that the old clothes show different styles and increase the reuse rate. Injecting living water into the circular economy industry, it also makes every effort to achieve a greener future for Taiwan's environment.
