東海大學人文創新與社會實踐計畫團隊,面對臺中市舊城區的衰落與空洞化,嘗試提出促進其活化再生的創新實踐。對此,本研究提出「遊戲作為創生」此一行動方案作為舊城區活化再生的另類可能,針對主觀生命的表意、客觀空間的活化、以及社羣關係的聯結三重向度,構思在地行動的具體內容。為了試驗此一構想的可能性,本研究透過三個向度提出相應的具體行動,並在行動過程中不斷檢視與反思其中的可能與侷限,為日後舊城區的創新實踐提供更多思考。
This article attempts to discuss how questions such as the renaissance of the old downtown possible? In addition to promoting population growth and local industrial revitalization, are there alternatives to community building of Taichung city? Based on the “Humanity Innovation and Social Practice” project from Tunghai University, involving governmental agencies, NGO groups, and local residents, we gradually explored and developed a socially innovative action plan: “play as innovation,” in response to the current three major issues of the old downtown from our thick descriptions: the performance of subjective life (role play), the activation of objective space (dis-play), and the reconstruction of community solidarity (game play).
