This article discusses the Buddhist concept of “nonduality.” This concept can be applied for considering the relationship between humans and nature, and for thinking the integration of the self into nature. Humans and nature are incorporated into a oneness. Realizing this truth can help learners to connect their spirituality with nature, which is vital for practicing spiritual education. In this article, descriptions are given of the present state of human-nature relations and the problems it engenders. Next, Buddhist perspectives on nature and ecological wisdom are explained. The significance of oneness between humans and nature is explored by means of nondualist philosophy. Finally, some thoughts regarding spiritual education, particularly with regard to improving individual spiritual development and returning to a natural condition of human spirituality, are developed in accordance with the nondualist perspective. “Nature” in this article refers not only to material nature, but also to nature in its spiritual aspect.
