本研究主要探究2014年國小高年級社會領域教科書時序概念教材的特色,並提出一些建議,以作為新頒綱要教材研發的參考。研究方法以內容分析法為主。研究發現,教科書使用大量過去日期的詞彙,且以「西元、民國」的數量最多,亦出現不少臺灣歷史分期的詞彙,且頗為一致化。還有,以分期詞彙作為時序架構編寫編年史與發展史。針對新編教材的建議包括:宜教導計算日曆時間,也要從學科觀點教導時序概念的內涵,以及發展史教材宜著重教導主題與外部因素的互動關係,並避免傳遞歷史進步論的意識型態。

英文摘要

This article mainly explores the characteristics of chronological concept presented in elementary social studies textbooks of fifth and sixth grade, followed by recommendations. It’s hope that this research results can be used as a reference for the development of new teaching materials in social studies curriculum guideline of 12 year basic education. This study employed content analysis to analyze the textbooks, and yielded the following findings. First, the words concerning passing of time are increased greatly in these textbooks, especially the dates are dominated by the Republic of China calendar and ‘AD’. Words concerning periodization of Taiwan history are frequently used and quite consistent. Moreover, words regarding period of time are used as chronological structure to write history of chronicle and developmental model. Based on the findings from the study, it is recommended that the new teaching materials enhance the students’ ability to calculate calendar time, as well as to teach the substance of chronological concept from perspective of discipline. It is also recommended that the interaction between the theme and external factors be adopted to teach the history of development, and do not convey the wrong historical progress of ideology.
