傅連暲是所有基督徒共產黨人中最為大家所熟知的一位「紅色醫生」，可用「家喻戶曉」來形容他的名氣，他是第一位加入紅軍的醫生，他曾救過犯上痢疾的毛澤東，他的入黨被毛澤東說成：「一個基督徒成為共產黨員，很有教育意義」。不同於目前中共黨史對這位醫生的書寫，本文嘗試重新解釋傅連暲與共產黨互動的過程中複雜的因素，包括其基督徒身分以及之後入黨的可能解釋。

Fu Lianzhang (@ Fu Lien-chang) was the most well known Christian Communist medical doctor in the history of Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Fu appeared to be the first Christian medical personnel who joined the party. He saved Mao Zedong’s life from a deadly Dysentery attack and eventually became Mao’s personal doctor. Mao once commented that Fu as a Christian and became a communist was an “iconic exemplar.” This paper takes a different approach in the observation and discussion on Fu from the “official stance” of the CCP history. It is the goal of this paper to observe and re-discover Fu in the light of his complex interactions with the CCP. The main discussions will be centered on Fu’s Christian stance and the possible factors which have caused him to join the CCP.
