This study investigates young children’s family representations at school after relocation of flood disaster. The collected data include children’s narratives and drawings. In the narratives, the children’s holiday life narratives were the main data, and circle time, socio-dramatic play and private dialogues were auxiliary data. In the drawings, diary drawings were the main data, and spontaneous creations in art area were auxiliary data. The study found that the layout of the permanent houses was the same, and the permanent houses needed frequent maintenance in young children’s family representations. The image of house fragility was reflected in children’s fear of house collapse in their play. In family life, playing mobile phones were adults and children’s daily routine, and conflicts frequently occurred. The field of children’s play had been extending from home to outside, friends’ houses, and the entire community. It demonstrated that the tribal culture of communal caring had been re-established in the new tribe. Young children’s family life was firmly connected with their old tribe, and they believed that the old tribe was their real home.
