中文摘要

本研究的目的是探討刻板印象對初任托嬰中心男性托育人員之人際關係影響經歷。本研究採用質性研究方法,以一位初任托嬰中心男性托育人員為對象,進行為期6個月之研究以觀察、訪談同儕等方法來探討與分析男性托育人員在職場上的心路歷程,以瞭解刻板印象對於男性托育人員在人際關係之影響。本研究結果摘要如下:一、初任男性托育人員要有一顆堅強的心,不論遇到多少挫折,還是要堅持下去。二、初任男性托育人員要用專業的本職學能與能力表現,來面對職場中所帶來的性別刻板印象。三、初任男性托育人員要適時的融入群體,勿因性別顧忌而有所退縮。四、初任男性托育人員應導正自我觀念,建立與同事之間的友好情誼。托育人員在職場中人際關係方面,可分為同儕、親師和師生三種關係;男性托育人員在人際關係的建立上,確實受到許多外在因素及性別刻板印象影響。但是透過長時間的相處以及自身的努力,是可以破除在托育職場對於男性的性別刻板印象以及偏見,進而成為互相扶持的夥伴關係。本研究之結果可提供有志從事托嬰中心之男性托育人員專業性的建議和參考。

英文摘要

The purpose of this study was to explore the stereotype and the process of how it could affect the interpersonal relationship of a beginner male caregiver. A qualitative research method was explored for the study. One beginner male caregiver was invited to participate the study and the duration of the study was 6 months. Data was collected including on side observations and peer interaction records. The results of the study were summarized as the following: 1.A beginner male caregiver could consist himself to face challenges from the workplace. 2. a beginner male caregiver should perform diligently with his professional abilities to face the gender stereotype on the work area. 3. A beginner male caregiver could be participated himself in the interpersonal circumstances. 4. A beginner male caregiver could encourage himself to create positive self-concepts and kind friendship with partners. The interpersonal relation of caregivers included their peers, children they taking care of, their parents. Suggestions to improve their interpersonal relationships were to ceate positive attitudes on the job; and make efforts to build professional attainment; and increase positive image for male caregiver such as good interaction skills and fidelities.
