本文根據再認識的終極真實,芻議一個在關係中展開的社會多元合一理論。東西方思想之會通一向為教廷所重視,但天主教一些神哲學家對於跨越士林哲學所設立之架構仍多所踟躕。終於1998年若望保祿二世教宗簽署《信仰與理性》通諭,使東西方彼此跨越希望的門檻更為可能,鼓勵神哲學家勤勉地走向圓融無礙的全球性思維。本文因此從《信仰與理性》所標誌的「基督徒哲學」出發,凝視終極真實的一體性,而以圖表方式呈現會通聖三、有無、陰陽等關鍵思維的可能。又將一體概念連結「關係」而分有限與無限二情況討論:以無限一體初步理解終極真實、以有限一體理解非終極者,如此再從終極角度切入非終極的人類社會時,則可嘗試梳理幾個在有限層面未臻相容的思想,如:正義與和平、人類的自由等。

英文摘要

The goal of this article is to suggest a preliminary theory of the structure of social diversity and unity according to the re-recognized Ultimate Reality. The integration of Eastern and Western thoughts has always been valued by the Holy See. However, some Catholic philosophers and theologians are quite hesitated to go beyond the structure set by the Scholastic philosophy. Pope John Paul II finally in 1998 signed the Encyclical Letter, Fides et Ratio, to facilitate the Eastern and the Western crossing the threshold of hope, and encouraged the philosophers and theologians diligently taking steps toward a harmonious global thinking. This article sets out from "Christian Philosophy" which marked by Fides et Ratio, and gazes on the unity of the Ultimate Reality, attempting to integrate some key notions like Trinity, Being-Nonbeing, Yin-Yang illustrated by charts. The notion of unity, relating to the understanding of “relation,” is discussed by finite and infinite two situations—infinite unity is applied to interpret the Ultimate Reality, while finite unity is applied to interpret the human society. Thus, from an ultimate angle delving into the non-ultimate human society, it is possible to smooth some issues which are not so compatible in terms of the finite situation, like justice and peace, human freedom, etc.
