本研究主要目的是從生命歷程的觀點了解中高齡者的家務分工與對家務感受的改變。研究方法上乃運用可串連不同時空背景的敘說研究(Narrative research)，以期對家務工作在真實生活脈絡的改變有更深入的描述與探究。研究對象以滾雪球方便取樣方式選取住在臺北市與新北市的8位55歲以上中高齡者，其中有女性6位與男性2位，且年齡都在57歲以上。由於性別在家務分工上是重要的影響因素，因此研究結果將分別從男性與女性的角度來說明。女性受訪者生命歷程中可發現，對已成為祖母的女性來說：（1）在家務量上呈現出2個峰，分別是自己孩子出生與孫子女出生；（2）家務的內容改變的差異不大，但對家務的感受卻顯著不同。對已成為祖父的男性來說，可發現：（1）在家務量上只呈現出1個峰，主要是孫子女出生；（2）生命歷程中的家務參與情形差異很大，尤其對家務的感受因孫子女出生而不同。最後本研究提出建議如下：（1）未來從事高齡家務工作研究時應留意嬰兒潮世代高齡者與持傳統性別角色觀之高齡者在家務工作的觀點之間的差異。（2）未來在男性高齡者照顧孫子女的家務工作上的樣貌和感受可多加關注。（3）家務工作推廣中可納入正向家人互動活動，以提升民眾家庭內的人際和諧。

The purpose of this study was to understand the transition of housework division and perception of housework from the perspective of life course. The research method was to use narrative research, which can be connected with different time and space background, in order to have a more in-depth description and exploration of the transition in the real life context of housework. The subjects were selected from 8 middle-aged and older-adults living in Taipei City and New Taipei City, including 6 women and 2 men, all of whom were over 57 years of age. Since gender is an important factor in the division of household chores, the results of the study will be presented from the perspective of men and women respectively. Female respondents can be found in the course of their lives, for women who have become grandmothers: (1) There are 2 peaks in the amount of housework, namely, the birth of their own children and the birth of grandchildren, and (2) the content of housework transitions were not very different, but the feelings of housework were significantly different. For men who have become grandfathers, it can be found that: (1) only 1 peak in the amount of housework, mainly the birth of grandchildren; (2) Housework participation in the course of life varies widely, especially when the feeling of housework varies depending on the birth of a grandchild.
