2021年由於宅經濟及各國政府在財政上刺激政策帶動下，液晶面板的需求爆發，自2020年第2季開始，面板價格經歷了漲幅最大、漲期最長的上漲週期後，從2021年7月起，隨著疫情解封及需求提前透支等影響，電視液晶面板整體需求開始放緩，以致全球電視液晶面板價格在7月轉為持平，8月份開始下跌，到了9月份更是跌幅加劇。而相對電視面板價格的劇烈變化，桌上型顯示器與筆電螢幕價格變化幅度較小。
