2003年台灣自行車產業組成競爭者間合作的產業大聯盟A-Team,2006年台灣工具機產業跟進並建立M-Team。兩產業在時空背景、產業結構、產業在全球市場地位與角色上、甚至聯盟動機均不相同,卻都能讓競爭者摒除己見,透過供應鏈的整合•共同建構緊密的垂直與水平的產業供應鏈平台。雖然M-Team是模仿A-Team而成,但兩個聯盟的發展卻有很大的不同。A-Team在兩任會長——巨大機械羅祥安執行長與美利達曾崧柱總經理——的操盤下,順利開展各項聯盟合作學習的活動,將台灣自行車的出口金額由2003年的5.82億美元提升至2017年的13.27億美元,會員廠商的交貨期表現達到所謂的「1-1-6」,即1天只來交1次貨,下訂後6天交貨。但M-Team的兩大中心廠——台中精機與永進機械一開始卻決定分別整合旗下的供應鏈,各自與自己的供應鏈夥伴運作學習活動,直至經歷2008年的金融風暴之後,M-Team才展開聯盟的相互學習。2016年與2018年,A-Team與M-Team都分別面臨聯盟會長任期屆滿的狀況,兩個聯盟的創始會長——巨大機械的羅祥安與台中精機的黃明和,都接到能否再次接任會長的徵詢電話,他們該如何做出決定?

英文摘要

In 2003, Taiwan bicycle industry formed an industrial mega alliance, A-Team? enabling cooperation among competitors. Taiwan machine tool industry created M-Team, which was another mega alliance that followed the A-Team in 2006. Although these two alliances had great differences on external environments, industry structures, positions in global markets, and alliance motives, A-Team and M-Team can extenuate competitive tensions among competitors and collectively created supply cha-in platform by integrating horizontal and vertical members. While M-Team imitated A-Team, the development and progress of these two alliances were different. The first two presidents of A-Team—Hsiang-An Lo, CEO of Giant Co., Ltd., and Sung-Chu Tseng, CEO of Merida Industry Co., Ltd. —facilitated successful mutual learning among partners and enhance total export from 0.58 billion USD in 2003 to 133 billion USD in 2017. The delivery performance of the supply chain network was 1-1-6, which means one delivery per day and deliver in six days after order. However, the two central firms of M-Team, Victor Taichung Machinery Works Co,, Ltd., and Yeong Chin Machinery Industries Co,, Ltd., decided to engage in learning with their own suppliers only instead of mutual learning. After the financial crisis in 2008, the two central firms of M-Team began to involve to learning from each other. In 2016 and 2018, Hsiang-An Lo and Ming-Ho Huang, received calls for being presidents and leading A-Team and M-Team again. Should they say yes or no?
