晚清時期天主教在廣西壯族地區的傳播由巴黎外方傳教會主導，沿東、南、西三條路線從邊緣貧困鄉村向中心城鎮拓展。傳教士們採用本土化的間接傳教策略，依靠醫療、教育、救濟等慈善事務傳播教義、發展信眾，但在文化傳統衝突、社會心理抵制、信仰基礎薄弱等因素的綜合作用下，晚清時期天主教在廣西壯族地區的傳播成效不顯。

In the late Qing Dynasty, the dissemination of Catholicism in Guangxi Zhuang ethnic region was led by the Paris Missionaries Society, which expended from marginal poor villages to central towns along the east, south, and west routes. The missionaries adopted the indirect missionary strategy of localization and relied on such charity affairs as medical care, education, and relief to spread religious doctrines and to develop believers. However, due to the comprehensive effects of cultural tradition conflicts, psychosocial restraints, and weak faith foundation, the dissemination effect of Catholicism in Guangxi Zhuang ethnic region in the late Qing Dynasty was not obvious.
