跨國平台挾強大的網路科技能力，成為主要的廣告獲利者。傳統媒體中，以報紙影響最為嚴重。為釐清國內報紙新聞受到科技平台影響情形，本論文針對國內三家綜合性報紙《聯合報》、《自由時報》、《中國時報》進行資料搜集與訪談，提出初步的研究發現。本論文指出：一、原本扮演臺灣新聞主要提供者的傳統報紙，出現地方新聞人力、國際外派新聞人力嚴重衰退現象，影響國內言論市場的多元性。二、臺灣報紙數位廣告成長616％，傳統紙版廣告則衰退九成以上，廣告收益已難維持優質內容。三、臺灣報紙網路新聞半數以上（52%-58%）流量，來自Google 和Facebook 平台導流，可見報紙對平台的依賴。本論文期望政府與民眾都能關注報紙沒落的現象，並採取有效的補救措施，以挽救臺灣的新聞與民主。

Due to the power of online technology, the cross-nations-platforms have the benefits of advertisings. The legacy media, especially newspapers were affected most. Based on in-depth interview, this paper interviewed three main newspapers to figure out the adverse impact from the platforms. This article found: first, the local journalists and foreign corresponds of newspapers have decreased seriously, the freedom of market place is hurt. Second, the online advertising developed 616%, the print advertising declined over 90%. The low income for newspapers is hard to maintain the quality of reporting. Third, More Than half ( 52%-58%) traffic of online news websites are from Google and Facebook. The dependency on platform is obvious in the business of newspapers. This paper argues the serious problems in the decline of newspapers for Taiwan government and citizens to concern and adopt some ways to save journalism and democracy.
