孫光憲《北夢瑣言》北宋初刊刻原為三十卷，今傳本均止二十卷，是亡佚十分嚴重。而通行二十卷本，諸家版本亦較複雜，故清季文獻學家繆荃孫曾對其進行輯校。繆氏自謂輯刻《雲自在龕叢書》時，是用《稗海》本及吳枚庵、劉燕庭兩家鈔本對盧見曾《雅雨堂叢書》本進行校勘，再由《太平廣記》、《茅亭客話》、《通鑑注》中輯出逸文四卷。繆氏校勘、輯錄數量不少，頗值得肯定，然亦不盡完善。近代為《北夢瑣言》點校有林艾園、賈二強、俞鋼、李一飛四家，雖較繆氏刻本後出轉精，但筆者取諸校讀，發現仍存有若干訛文待處理。經本文論證，四家點校本可商榷者有三：其一，確實仍有十八條三十二處訛文；其二，未充分利用宋初諸家史籍他校；其三，未多方參考當代學者研究成果佐證。故而有如弒君者為「朱友恭」非「朱友諒」、桂州節度觀察使是「馬賨」非「馬爾」、延王是「戒丕」非「丕」等之嚴重訛誤。凡此，應有助於還原《北夢瑣言》一書之正確內容。

In the first publication of Guang-Xian Sun’s Bei Meng Suo Yan in Northern Song, there were originally 30 books. In the modern texts, there are only 20 books and the disappearance of the texts is significant. As to universal 20 books, there are various versions which are complicated. Thus, the philologist Guan-Sun Mou in the late Qing dynasty has proofread the texts. According to Mou, when proofreading Yun Zi Zai Kan Series, he compared the version Bai Hai and those of Mei-An Wu and Yan-Ting Liu with Chien-Tseng Lu’s Ya Yu Tang Series. From Taiping Guangji, Mao Ting Ke Hua, and Tung Jian Zhu, he edited four books. Mou’s proofreading resulted in several books which were recognized and however, still incomplete. In modern times, An-Yuan Lin, Erh-Chiang Jia, Kang Yu, and I-Fei Lee reorganized and proofread Bei Meng Suo Yan. Although they were more properly revised than the version of Mou, they still show corrupted texts according to the researcher’s proofreading. According to the argument of this paper, there are three points that can be discussed in the four schools of Bei Meng Suo Yan: first, there are still 32 corrupted texts in 18 false essays; second, it did not make full use of the historical texts of the early Song Dynasty for proofreading; third, it did not refer to the research results of contemporary scholars as supporting evidence. Therefore, there are such serious errors as the regicide is “Zhu Yougong” not “Zhu Youliang”; the guancha jiedushi (regional military governor) of Gui Zhou is “Maju”, not “Mar”; and the king of Yan is “Jiepi”, not “Pi”. All these could help to restore the correct content of the book Bei Meng Suo Yan.
