英文摘要

Interacting with Print: Elements of Reading in the Era of Print Saturation provides readers with a knowledge map of Western printing culture in the 18th and 19th centuries through keywords and interactive methods. The Multigraph Collective presents a detailed study of 18 keywords, revealing the interaction between people and printed matter, the interaction between printed matter and nonprinted matter, and the practice of interpersonal interaction in printed matter. The book suggests that researchers who study Chinese printing culture should pay attention to materiality as the basis of interaction in printing practice, focus on the interactive practice in local printing from a micro perspective, and pay attention to the media configuration in the media spheres of printing.
