Social capital is a significant factor that determines the success of a business, company or individual. The paper presents a new method to predict the aquaculture household’s ability to access to credit, based on social capital and artificial intelligence. Social capital data is collected through surveys of aquaculture households, and then replying on artificial intelligence algorithms to build predictive models. The prediction results show that our proposed method can accurately predict households accessing the formal credit market. This is the basis for the planning and development of aquaculture in potential areas.
