英文摘要

This paper presents Mobile AR Instructional Game (MAIG), a framework for developing mobile vehicle augmented reality (AR) educational games for instructional assistance. The framework supports off-the-shelf, state-of-the-art technologies that enable AR localization and mapping on consumer-grade mobile devices, and combines these technologies with content generation tools that simplify the development of educational AR games, particularly those with storytelling game design and treasure hunting, such as location-specific historical exploration or museum adventure games. We used MAIG as a conceptual framework to design prototype games and test their efficacy for educational games, and also briefly described future development plans to improve MAIG's AR support (particularly as it relates to indoor scenario support).
