高密度聚乙烯(high-density polyethylene, HDPE)是一種可回收的環保材料,具有耐腐蝕、高延展性耐衝擊、可焊接性、密度比水低的特性,但強度不如鋁合金及FRP,本文就強度觀點進行HDPE作為小艇材料可行性探討。本文根據ASTM-C1147標準,規劃試驗方法,試驗中的試片包含未焊接、平焊及垂直焊三種型式,針對這三種試片型式進行材料拉伸試驗,以獲得三種試片之彈性模數、降伏強度、極限強度等參數。經由有限元素分析與HDPE試片材料測試結果比對,做為後續結構分析依據。本文以法規設計及有限元素分析等方法,就鋁合金和HDPE兩種材質,設計船型相同小艇,並就兩種材質設計結果進行比較。比較結果顯示HDPE結構重量比鋁合金重,重心及材料成本則相近。

英文摘要

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a recyclable and environmentally friendly material. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high ductility, impact resistance, weld-ability, and density lower than that of water, but its strength is not as good as that of aluminum alloy and FRP. The study discusses the feasibility of HDPE as a material for small boats. In this study, the test method is designed according to ASTM-C1147 standard. There are three types of specimens of HDPE, which are control, flat and vertical welding methods. The tensile test of the material is carried out for these three specimen types, the elastic modulus, yield strength, ultimate strength and other parameters can be obtained by test results. The finite element analysis is compared with the test results of the HDPE test specimen material as the basis for subsequent structural analysis. In this paper, with the methods of regulatory de-sign and finite element analysis, two kinds of materials, aluminum alloy and HDPE, are used to design a boat with the same type. Furthermore, the design results of the two materials are compared. The comparison results show that the HDPE structure is heavier than the aluminum alloy, and the center of gravity and material cost are similar.
