近年來，倫理學、政治學、法學、社會學對機構性腐敗有許多重要的研究。機構性腐敗與個人腐敗在性質與嚴重程度上，皆有很大差別。教會的機構性腐敗對教會負面影響甚大。近年來許多知名教會皆發生機構性腐敗的現象，然而教會對教會內的機構性腐敗的討論卻不多。本文將討論以下幾個問題：什麼是機構性腐敗？標準是什麼？成因是什麼？教會中的機構性腐敗是否有不同於社會上其他團體腐敗的獨特成因？經過改編的例子，將會用來作為說明教會內的機構性腐敗。在舉出案例後，本文將進行案例的解析。最後本文將提出初步的建議，對於教會可以採取哪些措施以避免機構性腐敗一再發生。

In the past decade, scholars of ethics, political science, law, and sociology have researched and published papers concerning institutional corruption. Institutional corruption and individual corruption vary greatly in nature and severity. Institutional corruption within the church has a tremendous negative impact on the church. Although some well-known churches were reportedly involved in institutional corruption in the recent years, institutional corruption has not been widely discussed by the church. This paper will discuss the following questions: What is the definition of institutional corruption? What is the cause of institutional corruption? Are there any causes of institutional corruption that are unique to the church? An adapted case study of institutional corruption within the church will be analyzed from a Christian ethics perspective. At the end of this paper, some preliminary suggestions to prevent institutional corruption within the church will also be discussed.
