本研究主要探討影響老人晚年婚姻滿意度與生活滿意度的因素，尤其希望瞭解擇偶方式是否對此產生相關性。研究資料取自2015年臺灣北部某縣市老人生活狀況調查原始資料中符合研究條件之799份問卷進行分析，分析方法包含次數分配、皮爾遜積差相關(Pearson’s r)、史比爾曼等級相關(Speraman’s r)及多元迴歸(multiple regression)，並以SPSS 25.0軟體進行資料處理。本研究發現，擇偶方式會影響老人的婚姻滿意度，但不會影響生活滿意度，因自由戀愛而結婚的老人對婚姻滿意度高於媒妁之言的老人。另外，與子女關係、與親友關係、對居住安排、對經濟狀況的滿意度都會影響老人的婚姻滿意度和生活滿意度。本研究認為，因自由戀愛而結婚的老人對婚姻滿意度較高，而老人如果在晚年時期與他人維持良好的關係，則其對生活滿意度也愈高。

This study mainly explores the influence of mate choice on life satisfaction and marital satisfaction of the elderly, and explores other possible influencing factors. The research data were obtained from 799 questionnaires that met the research conditions in the original data of the 2015 survey on the living conditions of the elderly in a county and city in northern Taiwan. The analysis methods included frequency distribution, Pearson's r, Spearman's r, and multiple regression, and SPSS 25.0 software was used for data processing. This study found that the way of choosing a mate will affect the marital satisfaction of the elderly, but not life satisfaction. The elderly who get married because of free love are more satisfied with their marriage than the elderly who are told by the matchmaker. In addition, the relationship with children, relationship with relatives and friends, living arrangements, and satisfaction with economic status will affect the elderly's marital and life satisfaction. The researchers believe that elderly who marry because of free love are more satisfied with their marriage, and if they maintain good relationships with others in their later years, their life satisfaction will be higher.
