The 12-year Basic Education Curriculum clearly states that the "life curriculum" is a unified curriculum that transcends academic subjects, focuses on life, cultivates life skills, and provides opportunities for hands-on learning. The purpose of this study is to investigate the teaching model of integrating STEAM into the life curriculum of elementary school grade 2 to enhance students' learning effectiveness and attitudinal change, and to integrate the 6E teaching model as the framework for curriculum design. The 14-week course was conducted in two sessions per week as the study is conducted through Action Research. The research of the study showed that: The results of the study showed that the integration the of STEAM and 6E model into the life curriculum was effective, especially in the cross-curricular, experiential trial and error, and problem-solving sections. This can not only implement the literacy-oriented teaching of 12-year basic education, but also enhance students' higher-order thinking, ability transfer, and skills to apply acquired knowledge in life. The impact is most prominent on students with low or moderate visual arts performance.
