牟宗三與胡塞爾現象學的交涉始於邏輯哲學之分歧，終於以知性「超越的運用」下之「暫時的實在論」視之，其中最有成效與實質性的交涉當為牟宗三受胡塞爾「本質直觀」啟發而有的「直覺的統覺」概念，以及對康德「先驗純直覺」一概念到「形式直覺」的擴大。

The interactive relationship between Mou Zongsan and Husserl’s phenomenology begins with the divergence in philosophy of logic, ends with viewing Husserl’s phenomenology as provisional realism from the perspect of transcendental application of understanding. The most productive and substantial part of the process should be the ‘intuitive apperception’ concept which is created by Mou Zongsan and that the extension from Kant’s transcendental pure intuition to formal intuition, both are inspired by Husserl’s intuition of essence.
