卡爾•呂佛（Carl Loewe, 1796-1869）作為一位浪漫時期的作曲家，在世時有「北德舒伯特」之稱，敘事曲及神劇在他活著的時候就享有極高的讚譽，然而時至今日，他的名字已漸漸為人所淡忘。自二十世紀之後，在西方國家的音樂研究中，數量也十分稀少。呂佛與舒伯特（Franz Schubert,1797-1828）大約同時開始譜寫歌曲，而比舒伯特晚三年寫成的敘事曲〈魔王〉被視為與舒伯特相提並論、等量齊名的傑作，然而他為數可觀的德文藝術歌曲卻鮮為人知，並且隨著時間很快地被世人所遺忘。相對於敘事曲，針對其藝術歌曲的研究也十分稀少，更遑論在呂佛的歌曲創作中佔有舉足輕重地位，以歌德詩作譜寫的藝術歌曲。此篇論文嘗試彌補這個缺憾，經由文獻分析法、音樂分析以及比較他與舒伯特同樣取自歌德詩作的三首作品，探討其藝術歌曲的風格，並且比較兩者在處理詞曲關係上的異同，嘗試為呂佛的藝術歌曲定位。且經由總體概觀的探究，瞭解其藝術歌曲之所以沒有受到重視的原因。

Carl Loewe as a composer of the Romantic period was known as the “North German Schubert” during his lifetime. His ballads and oratorios enjoyed high praise as he had alive. However, today his name has been gradually forgotten. Since the 20th century, the amount of research about him in Western countries has been very scarce. Loewe and Schubert began to write songs about the same time, three years later written “Erlkönig” is considered as famous masterpiece which could rival with Schubert. However, a significant number of his German art songs are rarely known and over time will soon be forgotten by the world. In comparison to his Ballade, research on its art songs is also very rare, not to mention the creation of Loewe’s Goethesongs which play an important role in his art songs. This paper attempts to make up for this deficiency. Through documentary analysis, music analysis and comparison of three art songs respectively taken from Goethe’s poetry to explore the style of his art songs and compare the similarities and differences between the two in dealing with the relationship between lyrics and music, and try to make a position in his art songs. Through the overall exploration, it is to understand the reason why his art songs are not taken seriously.
