The concepts of freedom, reason and will are integral to the Christian faith. Albeit they are also included in the philosophy of ancient Greece, such as in the works of Plato and Aristotle, Gilson holds that our claim on these thoughts begins with the Christian faith. This paper presents Gilson’s views of freedom, reason and will in light of Aristotle’s will and choice and in relation to Augustine's views on free will and grace.
