英文摘要

Haydn White criticized the tragic writing on the Holocaust for destroying the narrative objectivity, which raised the narrative philosophical dilemma, i.e., whether the principle of narrative objectivity should give way to ethical conscience. White turned to explore a new type of writing that combined both subjectivity and objectivity. He saw the template in a comic, and questioned its rationality with the thinking of narrative philosophy. White successively came to the opinions that this objective writing type should be ironic in style, anti-representational in writing make-up, anti-dualism in narrative philosophy paradigm, and anti-essentialism in philosophical ontology. Thus, he affirmed the rationality of this objective form of writing that can be called “modernism” at various theoretical levels. The realization of the objectivity in this type of writing based on the weakening of the author’s narrative authority, the polyphonic representation of fact, and readers’ autonomic comprehension. It reflects not the facts themselves, but the process by which they were investigated and told. Today, when factual records are becoming more and more massive and diverse, this new type of objective writing has a practical future.
