龍潭係桃園市裡極富盛名的客鄉，區裡的客家風情特色，是地方志裡大量被載記的一環。2013年2月出版的《龍潭鄉志》，不僅是桃園縣內地方志的殿軍之作，也因其增編再版離桃園市升格只有兩個多月時間，致使內容更貼近龍潭鄉時期的整體樣貌。長期以來，龍潭因具有豐厚的客家底蘊，近年又受到政府單位重視，帶動相關建設發展，益發讓客家元素獲得突顯。本文即以2014年再版的《龍潭鄉志》為依據，從龍潭地區在客家發展史上的意義，檢核龍潭區裡有關客家的文學議題被書寫情形，說明《龍潭鄉志》的疏漏處和文獻價值。另一方面，透過龍潭區裡客家特色的發展現況，以見桃園升格後對客家文化益發重視，和提供日後再版編修地方志時的參考。

Longtan is well-known as a Hakka hometown in Taoyuan city, and its Hakka cultural characteristics are massively recorded in local chronicles. The History of Longtan Township, first published in February 2013, is the latest chronicle in Taoyuan, and its additional edition and republication were completed just two months before the upgrade of Taoyuan city, which makes its contents closer to the general features in the period of Longtan Township. For a long time, Longtan is rich in its Hakka connotation, and is highly valued by the government in the recent years. This invigorates the development of its related construction and prominently protrudes the Hakka elements. Based on the republication of the History of Longtan Township in 2014, the present study examines the writings of Longtan Hakka literature according to the meaning of Longtan area in the history of Hakka development, and the omission and literature value of the History of Longtan Township are also explained. On the other hand, the current development of Hakka cultural characteristics in Longtan district manifests that Hakka literature has drawn more attention after the upgrade of Taoyuan, and it can serve as a reference for the republication when compiling local chronicles in the future.
